Well, evidently we KIN’t

News are spreading fast (see, and here) – the Kin team is finished, the prices at Verizon have been slashed already, no more European launch – long life to the Kin.

I do not agree that the problem was the Kin price, I believe it’s been more the combination of a wrong targeting (who is the real target for this product? I heard more discussions on who is not intended….), and a crazy marketing (an ad campaign starting after launch and retail availability, a limited Verizon push, the missing of a marketplace, the fact that it is not WP7 and therefore destined to be second best when WP7 is launched this Fall).

The sad side of this: maybe it could have been a cool product, if only Microsoft did it right; like for the Zune, that in my personal feedback is far better than the iPod, but will never be able to catch up.
